Robert Erskine is one of Ringwood’s most historic figures. He was an engineer, a businessman, and vital to the Revolutionary cause. In this fascinating talk with STEM coordinator Heather, you’ll get a taste of local history and a hands-on mini-lesson in engineering, with a look at Erskine’s design of the Chevaux De Frise, a defensive armament.

This program is in conjunction with the RevNJ Exhibit Revolutionary Lives taking place at the library from Sept 26-Oct 3 and is brought to you by a Science Across America grant from StarNet and hhmi Tangled Bank Studios and the Passaic County America 250 grant from the Passaic County Department of Cultural & Historic Affairs.
